Victoria Cruises Renamed Two Yangtze Cruise Ships

Victoria Cruises, the largest five-Starfleet on the Yangtze River operated by an American company, renamed its two Yangtze Cruise ships at the beginning of the 2011 New Year after their recent all-around renovation.

The Victoria Star (abbr. VS) ship was renamed Victoria Selina (new abbr. VS); while the name of another cruise vessel Victoria Queen (abbr. VQ) was changed to Victoria Lianna (new abbr. VL).

Tourists and passengers, who are planning a Yangtze cruise with the Victoria Cruises, should notice this renaming beforehand in case of boarding delays or mistaken embarkation.

Though the name changes might cause some inconvenience, their renovation offsets them by providing better services & cruise experiences. Besides the usual cabin burnishing measures, there is a noticeable improvement in facilities:

1. elevators had been installed inside the two ships, which would help those traveling with much luggage;

2. a new floor was added to create space for a Western Restaurant and a deluxe Leisure Room;

3. more standard cabins were also built, making each ship can accommodate up to 218 passengers.

Yangtze Cruise, one not-to-miss highlight of China tours, is a nice way to enjoy the changing & beautiful landscape of the Yangtze valley and touch the peaceful rural life of the country.

March and June, a relatively low season for Yangtze Cruise, are ideal months to enjoy a cruise on China's longest river, for small temperature swings and few tourists. If you are lucky, you probably find some special cruise discounts offered by ship companies.
