Shanghai Disneyland Resort to Open on June 16, 2016

The much-anticipated Shanghai Disneyland Resort is set to open soon on June 16 this year. As the second Disneyland resort in China (the first being Hong Kong Disneyland), it will be one of the hottest attractions in Shanghai, especially for travelers with kids.

Located in Chuansha New Town of Pudong New Area, Shanghai Disneyland Resort sets many records among the existing Disney parks. It has the first Garden-designed theme land (the Gardens of Imagination), the first pirate-themed park (Treasure Cove), as well as the tallest, largest and most interactive Disney castle (Enchanted Storybook Castle in Fantasyland). Visitors can encounter brave pirates and even interact with animated Snow White. For those wishing to arrange a multi-day trip to the resort, it has two themed hotels -Toy Story Hotel and Shanghai Disneyland Hotel.

Tickets for Shanghai Disneyland Resort will be on sale from March 28, 2016. As the first Disney theme park in mainland China, it will be so hot that booking tickets early guarantees a good start to a memorable Disneyland tour. Detailed ticket prices are as follows:

One-day ticket 

CNY499 during the grand opening period (June 16 - 30, 2016)

CNY370 on ordinary days

CNY499 on weekends, legal holidays, summer holidays (July & August) 

Two-day ticket 

 A 5% discount on the basis of the original price

Note:

1. No special discount on the resort's grand opening day on June 16.

2. It is suggested to exchange some RMB cash in advance in case foreign credit cards may not accepted.
