Charming Tour: Village Life and Yellow Mountain

Itinerary

• Day 1: Arrival - Huangshan

  Huangshan, known as Huizhou in ancient times, is the birthplace of Huizhou culture and home to the picturesque Yellow Mountain (Huangshan). This tour will show you the traditional life style of the historical Huizhou and the scenic Huangshan both.

  When you arrive at the railway station or airport, your knowledgeable guide and friendly driver will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in the city.

  • Huangshan

• Day 2: Huangshan - Yixian

  This morning, you will arrive at Nanping Village, about 70 kilometers away from the urban area of Huangshan. In the maze-like village, you will visit a local family, pick fresh vegetables from their kitchen garden, wash them at a century-old well, and help the host cook an authentic farm lunch for you.

  In the afternoon, continue to the understated Bishan Village, where you will stay overnight at a well-designed family hotel.

  After check-in, your guide will accompany you exploring the village and enjoying a cup of home-made beer or rice wine at an old book store. During the tour, you may also come across some villagers who are playing local opera or other folk music.

• Day 3: Yixian - Yellow Mountain

  For anyone to Huangshan, the UNESCO-listed Hongcun Village is always what you can't miss. Combining verdant mountains, grace buildings, green lakes, and quaint stone bridges, it is just like an engrossing Chinese ink-painting. Today, after the tour to Hongcun, you will continue to the Yellow Mountain, with a cable car ascending and accommodation on it. After check-in, follow your tour guide to discover the most stunning pictures of the Beihai (the North Sea) Scenic Area.

• Day 4: Yellow Mountain - Huangshan - Departure

  Get up early in the morning to catch the magical sunrise. After breakfast, explore the Xihai (West Sea) Area and then take a cable car down to the mountain foot where the driver will pick up you and your guide to have lunch. Afterward, if time permits, before heading to the airport or railway station, you can have a leisure walk along Tunxi Ancient Street that is full of old-style Chinese architecture, handicraft shops offering nice souvenirs, and small eateries offering extensive local flavors.
