North Taiwan From Taipei to Hualien

Itinerary

• Day 1: Taipei, Arrival

  On arrival at the airport, you will be met and escorted to your hotel by your private tour guide. The rest of the day is yours to recover from jet lag or you can step out to explore this amazing city independently.

• Day 2: National Palace Museum

  Today you will see the must-sees of Taipei, including the National Palace Museum where you can find the finest Chinese artworks such as paintings, calligraphy, ceramics, and jade, Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall, a memorial dedicated to the former president of the Republic of China, and Taipei 101, the tallest building in Taiwan. Today's tour ends at Wufenpu Garment Wholesale Area, a wonderful place to shop for cheap and cheerful clothes.

• Day 3: Taipei - Yilan - Hualien

  After breakfast, you will be transferred to Yilan (around 1.5 hours' drive). Visit a tea garden to savor a nice cup of local tea and enjoy a sense of peace seeing the lush tea bushes. Next, head to a whiskey distillery where you have a chance to taste the locally produced whiskey before exploring the National Center for Traditional Arts where the bygone Taiwanese lifestyles are brought to life.

• Day 4: Hualien - Taipei

  Enjoy a full-day exploration of Taroko National Park, including Swallow Caves and a light hike along Shakadang Trail. When exiting from the national park, have an en-route stop at Qingshui Cliff to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Pacific.
