San Francisco-Chengdu Non-stop Flight to Be Launched on June 9, 2014
How long does it take for a plane flying over the Pacific to Chengdu, China from San Francisco, United States? It will soon be shortened to about 14 hours, as the first non-stop flight between these two cities will be launched on 9 June 2014 by United Airlines.
This flight will use the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft with a total of 219 seats, and firstly takes off from San Francisco International Airport and arrives at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. The non-stop flight will save at least 4 hours off for a round trip, considered a good chance for both a business trip and a leisure trip to explore the charm of Chengdu.
Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province in Southwest China, is one of the most important cities for business and tourism in China. Many people came for the giant panda as the city is the hometown of this cute animal. Besides, the scenic Mt. Emei, the world's biggest Buddha colossus, delicious traditional Sichuan food, etc. are also regarded as the lures for tourists around the world.
